Goldeneye Cycling Map Yorkshire Dales - An area of great scenic beauty that comprises one of England's National Parks, 'The Dales' country is not a land of high rugged mountains. Few peaks reach over 2,000 feet. It is a spacious landscape of wide vistas and undulating hills threaded with deep, sylvan valleys. There is smooth grassland with an abundance of wild flowers, and woodlands of oak and ash. The lanes and byways of this rolling landscape are ideally suited to the cyclist. You may have to pedal uphill steadily at times but will be rewarded with expansive views. The routes included take you along quiet country lanes and through picturesque villages where you can refresh yourself at one of the many tea rooms and pubs. Also illustrated is the National Cycle Network Route NCN 68 (Penine Cycleway Northern). For those without bikes, 3 Cycle Hire Centres are included.
